Merchant Story: Grizzly Portal

Grizzly Portal is a US-based business that helps resellers run online stores backed by a shared product catalog.

The tenant storefront lists peptides, anabolic products, and other compounds, with separate categories for each part of the range.

Its multi-tenant eCommerce model gives resellers separate storefronts, while Grizzly Portal supplies the products and handles shipping.

The business therefore has two groups to support: merchants who run those stores and customers who buy through them. The platform needs to serve both without handing catalog and fulfillment duties to each reseller.

Grizzly Portal’s Challenge: A Peptide eCommerce Platform Beyond Ecwid

Grizzly Portal needed an Ecwid alternative. According to the client, product-category restrictions and payment-processing challenges had made its existing setup unsuitable for the business.

Replacing that setup was only part of the plan. Grizzly Portal wanted multiple resellers to run their own storefronts, backed by a shared catalog and fulfillment team.

Each reseller would set its own retail prices, while Grizzly Portal supplied the products and handled shipping.

Why Grizzly Portal Chose Bagisto Multi-Tenant SaaS

The Bagisto Multi-Company SaaS extension provided the foundation for running multiple merchant storefronts on one platform.

Webkul then adapted Bagisto SaaS to Grizzly Portal’s reseller model through its Bagisto development services.

The custom work covered catalog assignment, reseller pricing, shipping, sales reporting, payment integrations, and tenant mobile apps.

The shared catalog, tenant pricing rules, and limits on product creation were custom-built for Grizzly Portal’s reseller model.

Centralized Product Management and Assignment

Grizzly Portal’s team creates products in a global catalog and chooses which items to assign to each tenant.

Staff can save a product selection as a template and reuse it for other tenants. This avoids assigning the same products one by one each time another store needs that range.

Product creation stays with the platform team, so resellers work from the range Grizzly Portal has assigned to them.

Tenant-Specific Pricing and Profit Margins

Resellers can set prices for their assigned products to include the margin they want to earn.

They cannot add new products, but they can decide the retail prices customers see in their own stores.

Two tenants can therefore sell the same assigned item at different prices. Reusing a catalog selection does not require them to use the same markup or retail price.

Supplier-Managed Order Fulfillment

Customers place orders on tenant websites, and Grizzly Portal’s team handles fulfillment and ships the products.

Webkul built a custom shipping integration to sync tenant orders with ShipStation.

Access Controls for Tenant Store Management

Custom access controls let the super admin choose which store management tools each tenant can use.

That gives Grizzly Portal a way to grant the access a merchant needs while retaining central control of the catalog.

Sales Reporting Across the Merchant Network

An interactive dashboard gives the team a view of sales across the platform and for each tenant.

The two views answer different questions: how much the network is selling overall, and how sales are distributed across tenants. Grizzly Portal can look at the business as a whole without losing sight of each store’s activity.

Payment Integrations for the Platform

Webkul integrated PayRam for crypto payments, along with PayPal, Venmo, Cash App Pay, and Apple Pay.

Mobile Apps for Individual Tenant Stores

Webkul also built and delivered mobile apps for multiple tenants, giving those merchants an app alongside their website.

Tenants can request a mobile app for their own store when they want to offer that option to shoppers.

Results and Business Outcomes for the Peptide eCommerce Platform

With Bagisto, Grizzly Portal brought separate reseller stores together around one catalog and a shared fulfillment team.

Its peptide eCommerce platform gives merchants control over store pricing while keeping supply and shipping with Grizzly Portal.

  • Separate reseller storefronts backed by a centrally managed catalog.
  • Reusable assignment templates that reduce repeated product setup.
  • Tenant-specific retail pricing within the assigned product range.
  • Supplier-managed fulfillment supported by ShipStation order syncing.
  • Sales reporting across stores and mobile apps delivered for multiple tenants.

Conclusion

Grizzly Portal’s move beyond Ecwid involved building a peptide eCommerce platform around the way its reseller network works.

Bagisto provided the SaaS foundation, while Webkul built the features Grizzly Portal needed to manage its stores and support resellers.
