Merchant Story: Creative Furniture

Creative Furniture is a Bagisto furniture storefront based in Dubai, and the brand launched back in 2020.

It sells living room, bedroom, dining, and office pieces, plus outdoor sets, kids’ furniture, and home decor.

Its pitch leans on cutting out the middleman, to offer premium furniture at fair prices.

The catalog spans more than 3,000 items, and the site reports over 50,000 buyers served since launch.

Orders above AED 1,500 ship free across the UAE. Every piece carries a five-year warranty, and buyers can add assembly at checkout.

Shoppers are not the only buyers here, though, and a separate trade channel serves architects, interior designers, and hospitality teams.

These buyers tend to need bulk orders or custom bespoke pieces, not a single retail purchase.

A business weighing a similar decoupled rebuild can hire Laravel developers to scope that kind of project.

Creative Furniture’s Challenge: One Catalog, Two Kinds of Buyers

The catalog spans ten-plus groups, each with its own set of subgroups, from beds and wardrobes to dining sets and outdoor collections.

Keeping it quick to browse mattered to most shoppers.

Trade buyers needed something else, since architects and hospitality buyers do not shop the way a single customer does.

They ask for wood swatch samples, custom sizing, and bulk pricing. Those requests get worked out through a chat, not a standard add-to-cart flow.

One commerce setup had to serve both buyer types from a single product catalog. It could not force trade requests through a checkout built for one-item orders.

Behind the Bagisto Furniture Storefront

Bagisto is an open-source e-commerce framework. Under the hood, it runs on the Laravel PHP framework.

Stores can set it up as a standard storefront, or as a headless e-commerce backend behind a separate front end.

A Decoupled Storefront on Bagisto

Creative Furniture runs Bagisto as its commerce backend. It manages the full product catalog, from bedroom furniture to outdoor patio sets.

A separate Vue.js layer handles the shopping screens. It pulls catalog and group data from the Bagisto backend, rather than rendering pages directly from it.

This split lets the storefront team deploy screen updates independently, including homepage loading effects, without changing backend catalog code.

Speed was a design goal, too: the setup is built for high performance, so category and product pages stay quick to load.

What the decoupled setup adds

  • Independent front end — the Vue.js layer ships interface updates on its own schedule, apart from backend catalog work
  • Nested category catalog — products sit in parent and child groups, such as Living Room and its Sofa Sets, so shoppers can narrow down fast
  • Trade-aware routing — the B2B and project-sales categories skip the standard cart and send buyers straight to a request form
  • Responsive mobile layout — the same catalog renders cleanly for shoppers browsing from a phone

A Separate Path for Trade Buyers

Alongside the retail storefront, the site’s group structure includes a “Trade” area.

It covers an Architect & Designer Program, B2B and project sales, bulk order pricing, and trade account sign-up.

These routes send business buyers to their own request form.

That form is built for custom bespoke requests, wood swatch samples, and hospitality orders, not a single shopper’s checkout.

Results of the Bagisto Furniture Storefront

Creative Furniture now runs one catalog and one backend for both its retail and trade business. Each buyer type gets the workflow it needs.

Growth has room to come through Bagisto Extensions, too, without a rebuild of the core storefront.

Laravel e-commerce Native Mobile App is also available. Stores can use it to extend the same catalog to Android and iOS.

  • Centralized a 3,000+ product catalog across ten-plus furniture categories
  • Runs a decoupled Vue.js storefront on top of the Bagisto backend
  • Added a dedicated trade and project-sales channel for commercial buyers
  • Supports bulk order pricing and trade account sign-up alongside standard retail checkout
  • Gives architects and hospitality buyers a path for custom bespoke requests
