Overall, these changes in Bagisto v2.4.12 make card payments far more dependable. They also make customizable options save the way you set them up.

Stripe now tells your store the moment a card payment succeeds.
Bagisto places the order from that message, so a shopper who closes the tab still gets one.
A payment that clears later, rather than at once, becomes an order too.
Bagisto places that order only once, however many times the shopper and Stripe report the same payment.
It checks the basket still costs what the shopper paid before it places anything.

Bagisto now records a refund you make in Stripe against the order itself.
The order shows the amount, and a note saying the refund came from Stripe.
Refund the whole payment there, and Bagisto refunds every item and the shipping with it.
A dispute your customer raises leaves a note too, with the amount and the reason they gave.
Bagisto adds a second note once Stripe closes that dispute, saying how it ended.

Stripe signs everything it sends, and your store only trusts a signature it recognises.
Admin → Configuration → Sales → Payment Methods → Stripe therefore carries a Webhook Signing Secret field.
Tell Stripe where to send in its own dashboard, then paste the secret it hands you into that field.
Test mode keeps a field of its own, so you can try the whole thing before you go live.
The field explains which messages to ask Stripe for, so you can set it up in one pass.
